As President of Mosaic Health Solutions, Maureen is focused on building partnerships and making strategic investments that will improve the value and effectiveness of the health care system to consumers. She has built a strong team with deep industry experience to implement our strategy and manage our portfolio of health solutions companies.
Maureen became Mosaic's president after serving in a variety of executive leadership roles at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) for more than 14 years. Most recently, Maureen served as BCBSNC's chief strategy and innovation officer, responsible for enterprise strategy, analytics, health care and network operations, new models of care, and business development. Before joining BCBSNC, Maureen served in senior legal roles with CIGNA and Healthsource North Carolina. She also practiced law in North Carolina and in Maine, representing hospital systems, physician practices and life sciences companies.
In addition to her service on the boards of several Mosaic Health Solutions portfolio companies, Maureen serves on the Advisory Board of the Oliver Wyman Healthcare Innovation Center and the BCBSNC Foundation Board. Maureen is active in the community and serves on the boards of Meredith College, Elon University Law School, SECU Family House at UNC Hospitals, and United Way of the Greater Triangle.
Maureen received a law degree from Suffolk University Law School and a bachelor's degree in English literature from College of the Holy Cross.
Maureen and her husband have three adult children. She regularly finds ways to combine her love for adventure, photography and travel.
